"Am I missing something? I don't understand why it would need daily updating to put prices on the website."
Sorry to confuse! I was responding to: "Its a pain in the a*se if you've got your finger on the buy button for a flight but have no idea of availability or price for accommodation"
Which coupled availability and price together. You are quite right, prices should only need updating on a seasonal basis. That might still be considered an unnecessary expense and effort in view of the monopoly and demand. "If you have to ask the price..." I wonder about the legality of not pricing a "product" in view of Di's statement: "We booked in June and paid the deposit, but didn't find out the final cost of the accommodation until October/November" Luckily, as I said before, I bypass these problems, but I was very surprised that the accommodation could be advertised without prices. I was even more surprised at Di's revelation.
Has no-one spoken to Lynne, Pete, or Meni about this? I would think this should be the first move to resolving the issue.

Simon, just to clarify, we booked based on this years price for the same period. We were happy to do that, mainly a) because we couldn't believe that the accommodation was actually free for those weeks and b) I've always wanted to stay in one of the waterfront properties. At the time we were told that the 2012 prices wouldn't be available until later in the year, so although we didn't know the final price, we did have an idea (roughly) what it would cost.
