Hi all,
we have been to Halki twice before and are going back again in May 2009. This time we will have our 9 month old daughter with us. Has anyone any hints or tips on taking a baby? Are there any supplies at supermarket (baby milk, food, nappies etc)? Are the tavernas happy to sell you a plate of mushed up veggies? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Simon ..welcome to the board ;D I think you'll find most things are available on the island but they might not be the brands you are used to ..so things like baby milk I would take with you . Nappies etc are readily available . Most of the tavernas are happy to do a plate to take away -we always found when our kids were little one of those hand held blenders was a godsend My general advice when travelling with little ones is ............pack the kitchen sink.... and then some ;D

We travelled with a 2 month old grandchild last year and it was a bit fraught for the first couple of days because of bad croop but I can assure you you will be able to get everything.....but......take your own formula if that is what you use.
There is a fabulous doctor on the island who was very attentive when we needed him so no worries there..

There is a new doctor now Lynn, a girl called Anastasia. She's qutie young but seems to know her stuff - very attractive Harry tells me! I had to consult her in May and she was spot on.
