Hello! We are getting an easyjet flight which arrives in Rhodes at 10am-ish on a Wednesday 5th October, and were wondering whether we would be able to get a ferry from Rhodes Town rather than wait. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I suspect, Helengardenlady, that your Easyjet flight may actually be scheduled to arrive at more like 12 noon-ish (local time). Then after getting to Kamira Skala and having a leisurely lunch at the taverna there, the wait for the first ferry to leave is not as long as you might think. As Liz says, there's no currently timetabled ferry or catamaran from there which would help, and unlikely to be one on 5th Oct. (I'm due to be travelling back on 5th Oct so if there isn't a ferry at KS for you it will mean I have problems!)

Oops - when I said "from there" I meant from Rhodes town.

Just to add to my previous posting, according to the timetables published in Greek Travel Pages (www.gtp.gr - as you may know, you should input Halki as "Chalki" in the destination search box) in late Sept and early Oct there is scheduled to be a car ferry from Rhodes town to Halki on Sundays at 0800 and Tuesdays at 1530, and a catamaran on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 0900; but the ferry services are not yet "officially approved" (which probably means that the government subsidy for internal shipping routes has not yet been confirmed for Sept and Oct). There's nothing timetabled from Rhodes to Halki on the other days.
