We noticed a huge influx of monster TV's almost in every bar, not only do they kill conversation, but many were left on even though nobody was watching........
so, what do we think

I agree, every bar seems to have one or two tvs on all the time, some of us as we know love their football !!! Dont say a word Fatcat, but some of us can very happily do without it. Some bars with tv would be fine for those who want to watch it but it would be good if one or two did not have any at all ;D

Can we have a 'who cares ?' selection Personally I've got me knickers snagged on the fence The bars with the TV's are aiming at the younger audience that Halki seems to be attracting more of other than the 40-dead bracket . Some nights we just ordered more drinks at the taverna of choice and stayed there -our youngest got take away cake and ate it with us , nobody minded ..the TV's don't bother me either way

Can't say they bother me either. DS always enjoys watching the footie with the locals and getting the low down on the basketball from Apostoli!

I must admit that after getting up at 2.30am to fly out to Halki we ended up watching the highlights of Liverpool v Standard Liege until about 2.15 in Theodossia's. We eventually gave up (just before Dirk scored in about the 158th minute) and checked it on google on my phone when we got back to the studio. I don't mind them - I also enjoy practising my Greek by reading the subtitles on the films

I'm really quite surprised at the response, maybe TV's are now becoming part of the 'de rigour' of any holiday.........
