Are makedonia Rooms still at the harbour

Hi

I have been looking at places to stay at Kamiros Skala, 2 other properties have been suggested and I have been told by one to try again in January and the other in May although i need a room in June 2020. I have had no joy googling Makedonia rooms, nothing available on booking.com or Greek.hotels.com(?)

Am I missing something? The fish restuarant said contact them in January and Pension Liros said to contact them in May. Are there any other places please?  The fact that I have booked accomm in Rhodes old Town now (before they all got sold out) I find it hard to believe I can't book until 2020.

Thanks in anticipation and any other suggestions to stay for the night please.

Hi, I don’t know the Makedonia rooms, most people use either the Althemenis or the Liros, the booking next year seems quite common, it has happened to us in the past and has always been fine.t

Makedonia is across on the other side of the road. I stayed there some 25/30 years ago and it was "basic" to put it mildly. So was the food. I know it is still in operation though I suspect the owners I knew are long gone. It may still be in the family and the rooms possibly have been cleaned up but I know of nobody who has stayed there in recent times. There were four little bare rooms upstairs at the rear sharing one common loo and shower. I am not surprised that it does not appear on the internet. The two Carol mentioned are well used and can be recommended. There is another opposite the Liros owned by a guy called Yorgos but I know nothing about it nor it's name.

Thank you Carol and Sth. I was a little concerned as I like everything booked and sorted in advance, flights, Chalki accom, Rhodes accom (2 nights at end of holiday in the old town), so will just wait till January to book Althemenis. Thank you both xx

You won't have any problem getting a booking at Althimenis for June if you book in the early part of the year. In June, might be there myself!!

we've stayed at the Althemenis the last couple of years and have messaged them via facebook in early Jan for June and never had a problem
