We are considering flights that arrive late on Weds (20:00) and leaves late on the following Weds 21:00.
We've been able to catch the 16:00 ferry in the past. Being so late, we will stay at KS for one night and travel to Halki on Thursday. Not wishing to spend a day at Karimos Skala whilst waiting for the 16:00 ferry,we are reluctant to book these flights. Is there an early Thursday ferry to Halki?

As always, the answer is:
PROBABLY!
This question is asked every year, and the answer is always the same.
"The subject of the uncertainty of Greek ferries is a frequent subject for discussion on this board. I thought I could simplify the situation. Our guide is Schrödinger who knew all about uncertainty. Like his famous cat the Greek ferry exists in a superposition of states so the ferry is both going, and not going, and remains so until an observer collapses the wavefunction and the ferry is either going, or not going.
So we begin with Schrödinger’s Equation. with has solutions of the form Which is, I think, fairly self-explanatory, but for those not mathematically inclined the wavefunction can be collapsed by contacting an observer at the departure point of the ferry. You then ask, “Is the ferry leaving at … ?” The reply may resolve the situation, or not, if they just give the answer that they think you want to hear!
I hope that is the final answer to this problem!"
In other words you are asking a perennial unanswerable question, sorry, but you will find out for sure on the day.

Hi Dave, Simon is right, probably is the answer but more information should become available once the season begins. Last year the Fedon seemed to be going back and forth a few times a day and once the day trips started the other ferries were getting back to Halki around midday. I would hang on a couple of weeks if you can and see if any more info materialises, quite a few of our regulars go early in the season so someone will help out, BUT being Greece we all know things change !!! We will be in the same situation as we will be trying to arrive on a Sunday morning this year

Thanks for that Carole. I can't work out the ferry times from Simon's equation, it's all Greek to me!

We are travelling on a Thursday this year and there is a 2.30 ferry showing on timetables at the moment .. This is the one that waits for the bus from Rhodes every day except Wednesday ( this is the one we hope to get ) there may be a earlier ferry back as one leaves Halki at about 8.30 ish ? And goes back with day trippers .. But as said it can all change Are they easyjet flights ? Have you looked at Ryanair ? They are the Thursday ones we are using and are much better times have you looked at the gtp.gr site ? Theres a 9am sailing from Rhodes on a Thursday
