Having spent an arm and a leg booking a flight with Thomson on Tuesday, and justifying it by telling myself "all flights are going to be expensive next year, and Sleazyjet don't release their flights until about March, and I don't want to wait 'til then just in case there's a rush on them and then we cant get one with anyone else.......blah, blah, etc" ........................I got an email this morning

For those of you not quite as impulsive as me, Sleazyjet are now selling flights for next year .

I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn't resist checking them out Don't know about you, but I think the Thomson reserved seats, the fantastic meal and the brilliant film / entertainment more than make up for the 350 odd quid extra they cost. Don't you

I can confirm that we are now the proud owners of two flights from Liverpool -Rhodes for a whopping sum of £289 !!! Da daaaaaaaaaaaa!!

Poor you Di. We had just decided to book with Thomsons for all the same reasons as you, and now we don't know what to do . The flights from Gatwick are not on the sleezyjet website yet so do we wait or play it safe and book with Thomsons

At last, some sympathy Although in some ways, I'm cursing myself for booking so early, I won't miss the mad scramble for seats and I must admit the flight this year with Thomson was well worth the money (we actually overtook the easyjet plane on the way home which was somewhat surreal) so - hey ho. Also, it's our 25th wedding anniversary so I don't mind splashing out so much

On the other hand - there's b*gger all I can do about it now anyway ;D

How annoying is the fact that I could book my flights from Liverpool today but no Gatwick flights available on line at all

Daisy I wondered if sleezyjet are going to fly from Gatwick next year . On their website it says something about flights up until the end of October and then after that for november it just says no flights. I don't know if that is just during the winter months?

PS We haven't booked yet. Tony says to go ahead and book with Thomsons but I'm still dithering!!!!

Thomsons from Glasgow for us - £300 more than Jet2 from Manchester for four of us, and after the discomfort of the Jet2 seats, not to mention about £80 for fuel and another £130 for the hotel and parking - 'no brainer'!

Yes wondered the same thing Jane but will wait a bit longer just in case Thomsons flights drop in price or Easyjet put up Gatwick flights on their website
