Today I finally received news that all the outlay incurred by the Easyjet cancellation I experienced last September has been approved and it has been put back on the card used to make the original reservation. I'm very glad I kept badgering them otherwise I would have received nowt. This means that every euro expended has been returned. My taverna receipts had to returned to Greece for translation - wow! ;D Read more: halkivisiting.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=flights&action=display&thread=735&page=3#ixzz1FwpZSi6gWell now, would you believe it!! As of today, they say it is still clearing through my bank account. The bank have never heard of it. What an indescribable shower. And I complain about Ryanair. It is easy to understand why so many people simply don't bother persuing claims with them. Rant over - I have to rest, I'm flying twice with Ryanair tomorrow

Don't get me started Philip!. They got me there and back on time etc., but neither I nor my fellow travellers had any idea what the cabin staff announcements were about. Might as well have been Urdu. What one would do if there were a real emergency and we had to rely on those muppets to tell us what to do, I shudder to think. They are the absolute pits. Strange listening to the regular business types in the boarding queue saying that they wished they really didn't have to use the airline - but do. The upside is that as from this month I won't have to rely any more on them to get me to the Emerald Isle as Aer Lingus are restarting their local service and as a bonus - with an onward link to New York. Now the day Ryanair try that I'll ............. ;D

Well set off for Gatwick full of trepidation as it was our 1st ever Easyjet flight Well need not have worried from check in to landing at Rhodes all went brilliantly Staff from check in girl to boarding to cabin crew were all great Speedy Boarding was a must though (thankyou Emma for recommending it) sailed through at Gatwick and was even more relieved we had booked it at Rhodes cos the queue this morning at check in was extremely long for non SB boarders but very short for us ;D We also were boarded first at gate and had then bussed out to plane before non SB all for an extra £40 not sure if thats even cheaper if you book SB when you book flights Flight out took off early and had strong tail wind so flight time was 3 hours 30 mins Slight delay coming home meant we arrived 20 mins late but hey ho hardly worth mentioning Even the food you could buy aboard was edible ;D Will certainly be using EJ in the future was back home with bags unpacked and WM working overtime by 5pm ;D

Hi Daisy, I am very pleased indeed to hear the Rhodes SB process has finally been put on a level with other airports. It had to happen as it simply offered no benefit when first rolled out there. Lets hope they keep it up. Down to the punters I suppose. If it is being abused then complain. I certainly do. Never found anything wrong with Easyjet looking at the big picture.
