John and I saw the board but no help to you I'm afraid. We recall that it was advertising an Estate Agent dealing in Greek properties. Sorry, don't recall any mention of dream homes in Halki - I wish!

Love the description of the first "renovation project" on the euroktimatiki site - "needs minor construction" I'd hate to see something that needed major construction . It could also do with being "strimmed" but think of what you'd save on house plants .

Guys - what are you doing? Let's keep the dream homes in Halki to ourselves - anyone could be looking at this website. I'm going there in two weeks time - I'll get the URL for you.

I know Lynn, even the locals raised a few eyebrows at some of the prices being asked.
Must keep doing the lottery!

We only spotted one property with a "For Sale" sign. It needs a bit of work doing ,oh and a roof too.

That must rate as one of the most undesireable properties on Halki. It has absolutely no outside space, front, sides or rear. Privacy zero and on one of the noisiest and busiest corners in the village. Small wonder it has been on the market so long - years in fact. One of the old ladies used to keep chickens inside many moons ago and was probably the best use for it although they made such a racket they had to be shifted further away. (Or possibly strangled ;D).

The town hall should buy it, demolish it and open up a small bit of clear space in the village. Let it breath. The same applies to a few other cramped corners. A bit of green belt here and there would be an asset. I wouldn't pay 10 Euro for a corner where dumper trucks, bicycles and every other conceivable pest was practically coming through my front door 24/7. Good luck to whoever gets it.

It may surprise some of you to know that a bit of land was put aside for a green space / park. It's on the road that is opposite the school, about 10/15 metres down on the right. A big square of open space which was going to be turned into a park. This, of course, was about 5 or 6 years ago now and last year had a load of vehicles parked on it.
One day perhaps....
