Oh my aching stomach. We'd forgotten just how tasty and (deceptively) large the slices of cake are at Theodosia. Being the true gent that I am, I felt compelled to assist Rose in finishing off her slice of chocolate cake π€€
This is after our final visit of the year to Magefseis. There is something that we find difficult to resist in a grill house. The food is always freshly cooked and there is something about the flavours in chargrilled food that sets it apart. Time to finish packing and set the alarm for the morning. 8am, Fedon. Transfer to the same establishment as on our last visit. Anixis in Ialyssos, deep joy. I think I said it before but I'll say it again, (in my opinion) anybody who chooses to stay on Halki wouldn't chose to stay in Ialyssos. No disrespect intended but they're chalk(i) and cheese(y). Hey ho, hopefully our next visit will be an independent booking (not heard back from Alex yet Liz) so we can decide our own fate.
So ta ta for now campers and please, please keep posting on this forum. Don't let it be another casualty to the Facebook generation. There have been far too many already π’

That was a long day yesterday. That's the only thing wrong with holidays, the traveling. We quite like the take off and landing stuff but the middle bit really is an absolute pain in the posterior. Then there's the waiting around in the departure lounge, the standing around waiting for your cases at your UK airport, waiting for the airport shuttle bus to take you to the car park, the drive home, the inevitable roadworks on the motorway. It goes on...... Some of the Star Trek technology is now with us (mobile communication devices, medical scanners possibly more) but I'm eagerly awaiting the transporters. Step on a designated spot, you go all shimmery and reappear a split second later in Theodosia with an ice cold beer in front of you. Sadly I doubt we'll see one capable of such feats in my lifetime. Although those clever scientist people have actually transported a minute particle from one location to another. So there is hope. Many of you may already know but the Prevellis is due to restart service tomorrow, should get to Halki early hours on Saturday.
Liz, we've still not heard from Alexandros. We'll leave it till after the weekend then contact him again. Fingers crossed π€ Will update as soon as we can sort dates and availability with him, then all we need to do is pick all your brains regarding the best means of arranging transfers. Trusted companies and emergency backup plans if flights are delayed past ferry times, the usual stuff. I'm sure you all know so we'll be asking questions. I thank you all in advance.....

Friends of ours stayed here in May this year and showed us around. Very convenient, one floor layout and that beautiful balcony!! You'll love it I'm sure. It is one we will be looking out forπ

All on one level is a good thing for us. Another plus is the fact it's not high up. It's actually slightly lower than our previous accommodation of choice, the Villa Nina which is next door. Comparing the two now is like chalk and cheese, we used to have a sneaky peek over the wall and could see half of the balcony. We though at the time that it must cost a good few Euros to stay there as it looked so good. We didn't even know the name of the place at the time. It was only when we started looking online that we realised that it was where it actually was, funny how things turn out eh? We had no issues with the Villa Nina but it's no longer with Olympic. It is a available elsewhere but the upper floor that we used to have has now been split into two studios. No private balcony, so time to move on. Probably just as well really as the steps up at the side of the downstairs room were a bit of a killer. I know the village is full of steps but these were quite deep (tall?). From what we've read and seen of the Villa Marigo we will take to it like ducks to water π¦π¦, Greek ducks that is
