Hi all
When we return to the very nice place that is Halki we said we'd do a day trip to Tilos. I'm curious about the possibility of a two night trip though. Is there any difference in the cost of the ferry? It's still early days yet (literally) and I realise there's a trade off between distance of accommodation from the ferry and price so we've got some research to do but I'd really like to do a couple of nights rather than a simple day trip although Rose isn't that sure
Any advice would be very welcome
Cheers. Tom and Rose

Hi Tom and Rose, looking at prices for this year it seems like a return ticket if you stay two nights would be β¬44.20 for both of you and a day return would be β¬36, so minimal difference. The website to check is www.12ne.gr or www.ferries.gr ππ¬π·

Hi Carol
Thanks for the links. Looks like we'll be having two nights there, we had a conversation about it last night and Rose was actually all for it. Just got to decide where to stay now
Cheers. Tom and Rose

Hi Tom and Rose, thatβs great I am sure you will enjoy it, there is a fair bit of accommodation to look at on Trip Advisor, also Stefanakis travel...www.tilos-travel.com and Hotel Eleni beach which is where we stay. My advice for only two days would be to stay in Livadia the main port, it is flat along the front with a few very good tavernas and easy walking into the main square π

Thanks again Carol We're after somewhere away from the main centre of activity, one place we've both flagged up is the Marina rooms away to the far left as you approach the harbour. About 25 mins walk from the ferry but on their Web site it says they'll collect/return people to save the walk. Looks about 10-15 mins walk to the start of the tavernas. As I say it's still early days yet so may change our mind about staying out of the village Cheers. Tom and Rose P. S. Rose is looking on Tilos travel right now

Marina studios look lovely but they are quite high up, no problem if you don't mind a walk, you are actually near the centre there, look further along the front away from the harbour to the left, quite a bit of accommodation along there, good hunting.

Are you sure you're talking about the Marina rooms, not the studios? I've seen the studios almost in the centre but the rooms (called Marina beach on the booking sites) are at the far end of the bay away from the centre

Tom I have no idea where the Marina rooms are but the studios are up high on the right as you enter the harbour, I think I am confusing you so I will leave you to browse.

Easily done Carol believe me.
I have a suspicion that they're owned by the same family although it could be a coincidence.
The research continues apace

They look lovely, possibly near Faros so right round the bay almost opposite the harbour.

Faros is about 5mins very slow walk away! Green Parrot in the far corner of the outside seating area has been there for a good few years. Marina rooms didn't look like it had much going on(i.e. guests staying there) when we've passed by a couple of years ago. It's a lovely pitch, very quiet.

Just booked the Sunrise Apartments for our little midweek away. They look pleasant and the only thing between them and the sea is the path that runs around the harbour. Job done
