Sorry for the delay in reply sth, thought I had posted something, but it disappeared into the ether. That's the trouble with being medieval.
No, that is not the ship I saw the picture of. It was much larger, 3 or 4 funnels and had gun turrets. My guess is a battleship or cruiser from early 20th century. Probably Turkish or if after 1912 Italian. Wish I could remember now exactly where I saw the photograph.

That vintage will almost certainly be Ottoman. Were I to get copy of that pic I could possibly narrow down the possibilities. Interesting these old photographs.
