I am sorry but I agree with George as long term Laskarina/Nissia clients I would have thought we would have been advised of the changes. I think it is extremely arrogant to say "the people who need to know know" We are not interested in the personal reasons behind the changes in Nissia Holidays but any company should advise current clients of the changes It just makes you realize that the clients are not considered important enough to have the courtesy of even an e-mail In all my professional career this is the worst change of management announcement I have ever come across.

"The people who need to know" says it all really, Halki should be an egalitarian sort of place and maybe it will be now that Nissia have a regime change. All best wishes to Meni and her family who ,I'm sure ,will thrive.

Whilst I broadly agree with Pensioner2 sentiments, I also note that Lynne retires/relinquishes her involvement at "the end of May". Changes in ownership arrangements in closed companies can be as complicated as PLCs and it may be Meni isn't able to say anything until the deal completes.
Peter's terse comments after the story first broke and Lynne had had to come clean that the rumours were not ill founded has done little to quell the notion of a side story to this. If there is, it is none of our business and to that extent Peter and the other commentators on the parallel threads are quite correct. It is just unfortunate that the rumour mill picked up on it before the two parties involved were ready to go public.

I am on Halki at present and have seen Meni greeting incoming clients. As always she is very friendly and helpful to everyone, Nissia client or not. Like all the others here who provide accommodation on Halki, holidaymakers can expect good and friendly service whilst they are here. Rest assured, it is still a magical place!

Good to hear howard. Meni would treat people on an egalitarian basis.Visitors to Halki are just that....visitors. People are equal, but some people are more equal than others. Not though in the eyes of Meni and her group of helpful people as we all want a warm welcome regardless of who you are. Will arrive next Wednesday. ??
