You could always take a few days off the the cruise and nip over to halki for a 'fix'... either that or sell son No 2........ not much help I know, but drastic measures are needed.

We do know what you mean Liz, last year due to a house move and a family illness (having a terrace full of raving lesbians and screaming teenies did’nt help either – but that’s another story) we also had to gave Halki a miss, we returned this year and it was like we had never been away.

Jane&Tony ..it goes to Tunisia ,Rome,Florence.Monte Carlo ..that neck of the woods ..we thought we'd go for a complete change

Sounds great Liz, I am sure you will love it, Graeme used to keep telling me we should try other Greek Islands but has given up now and even he said this year when we were leaving that three weeks would be even better ;D one day it will happen when work does not get in the way

Carol we have been to quite a few Greek Islands and thats why we've chose to go for something different ..I'd go back to Halki tomorrow and three weeks has always been my dream ....one day ! Which company are you cruising with? We went with Ocean Village 2 last year, had a great two weeks. Tunis was great, but be sure to take the tour and don't be tempted to do your own thing there (you will get ripped off). Rome was fab, the boat laid on a bus into Rome and then we did our own thing. We were shattered when we got back to the boat. It is possible to take the train in, but you need to watch your times. Florence and Pisa were extraordinary. Monaco and Monte Carlo were also good. Barcelona was amazing, a bus took us from the port into town then we walked all day. Palma was also really nice, I had not realised how nice the old town is. We also loved Genoa. The only place we did not like was Naples, because of the traffic and general hustle and bustle. However, if you get the chance, go to Pompeii, or take a trip along the Amalfi coast, both are wonderful. Have a wonderful cruise, I know you will love it. Tom
