Oh well...... since about 11.00 this morning I've been watching the QE2 sailing up the Mersey ;D ;D ;D. She is now waiting to tie up right outside my office and she's a magnificent sight to behold. I'll post some of the photies later - ignore any reflections from the windows Oh look, time for lunch........

As you may have guessed, the camera has been quite busy so will post some later on when I get home. It did a fantastic "handbrake turn" in the middle of the Mersey with the help of a rather courageous tug

You really are lucky. I spent from 11 to 21 living right on the dockside in the Pool of London (the bit just before you get to Tower Bridge) and it was fabulous for "sightings". Saw Britannia loads of times and other beauties but mostly of course little freighters, cargo vessels and tugs along with some navy vessels. My bedroom window looked directly out onto the large bend in the Thames and it was just fab. Of course, I probably didn't appreciate it that much at the time.
I'm not sure I would get any work done at all if I worked there. However, I feel sure your very diligent!!! Is that the word I'm looking for?

If Lynn Truss is viewing, I apologise for my horrendous grammar I'm still on Halki time and in need of my siesta following the downing of a bottle of lunchtime retsina at Nik's. Unfortunately the guys I work for think I'm an old trout anyway. Dread to think what they would call me if I asked for an afternoon nap!!!
