Righto - not wishing to offend..... We came across a family of 5 as well, always eating around by the Pizza place and ALWAYS in Theodosia's and they ALL (mum, dad, 2 boys and a girl) always wore Liverpool football shirts, we saw them for 3 consecutive years but alas they have not been seen for a few years now The daughter it seemed to us to be always dressing up to something that she obviously not and the 2 sons, which we do not think they had 2 brain cells between them, they always walked around the harbour like a shoal of fish, very close together and as soon as one changed direction they all followed in a nano second - quite amazing to watch really. And their crowning glory was they always seemed to be in disagreement - not arguing, but never agreeing and at any given meal time one of the children always seem to have a strop on. For the pleasure they gave us we gave them the name of 'The family Spanner'...... Never a dull moment when they were on the prowl........ ;D

Sometimes give people polite names like The Commander who was a delightful ex sea captain. But we tend to give people names of folks they resemble of the telly. On Halki we have a Marradonna George Best George Clooney Ant or Dec none of us could make up minds or though I think we finally settled on Dec Tom Conti (though there is some dispute over this one) Can't think of any more but I am sure Liz will. Liz also has some rather impolite names for a few folks as well.

We too tend to give people names according to who they look like. And of course, if they're Greek, they have to have a Greek sounding name.
So we have ....
Billy Furios Gary Glitteros (sorry, this was before we knew about him) George (As)bestos
Will have to talk to the other half to remember more.
Also, a rather large gentleman (I will give no further information for fear of causing offence) was named Jabba the Hut.
Oooooh, aren't we wicked!!

If it's the large gentleman I am thinking of we called him the Easter Egg with legs. Yes very wicked

having just come in from work thought i would check the board and find that Carol has had to delete the post referring to Rod and Jackie and their budget for Halki.
Having read the post this morning I assumed incorrectly that this post was by someone who actually knew them and was made in a tongue in cheek fashion.
The reason none of the above posts have been removed is because they don't actually refer to any of the people by name therefore are not nasty or particilarly offesive.
Rod and Jackie have been great contributers to not only this board but the old Halki Visitor board and have offered good advice and help to anyone who has asked with their knowledge and experience about Halki gathered over the years they have been travelling to this wonderful Island. Personally I cannot see what it has to do with anyone else wherther they spend 50 euros a day or 150 it is their business and their business only. Any future personal comments aimed at anyone on this board will be removed immediately

As we have just got back, I have been reminded of Alice Cooperos.
And of course, we must mention Bill Oddie and James Last who were often to be seen filming this time.
And Lisa, don't you dare mention Terry and June!

:)Hi Amanda and Harry - We missed Bill Oddie this year (I've seen his willy! - he skinny dips at the cove approaching Ftegana) so he must have arrived about the same time as you. We left on the day you arrived.
Just looking forward to next year now.
